Long-Term Effects of Childhood Adversity: Breaking the Cycle (CD)
Gregory W. Lester, Ph.D. is a Consulting Psychologist, Researcher and Author. A hundred years of psychological research has taught us that many difficulties in adulthood, including unplanned or unwanted pregnancies, are actually part of a repetitive pattern of trauma that began in childhood. As a result, many problems that our clients view as “chance” or as “accidents” are actually the result of aversive patterns that began in childhood. This session will discuss how to identify these patterns, how the patterns work, and will present interventions that have been found to be helpful inchanging and breaking these patterns.
